About Giving

A Knight has compassion and mercy upon the poor.  He generously gives unto them according to the ability provided him by God his King.  It gives the Knight great joy to give unto the poor, and brings him favor with GOD his King.   

It is Written:

Matthew 5:42  Give to him that asks thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. 

Proverbs 19:17  He that has pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he hath given he will pay him again. 

Proverbs 14:31 He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker: but he that honors him hath mercy on the poor. 

Proverbs 21:13 Whoso stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard. 

Proverbs 28:27 He that gives unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
