Lamentations 3:40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

This section is for all who have received JESUS as their LORD and SAVIOR who have sinned and turned away from him after being saved.

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

You have the LORD's word that if you will return unto him, that he will have mercy upon you and abundantly pardon all your transgressions. The LORD will help you forsake your wicked ways and unrighteous thoughts, and to turn back unto him.

John 6:37 ...; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Do not say that I have sinned exceedingly and how can the LORD receive me because of the greatness of my sins.  The LORD promises in his Word that he will receive you if you repent of your evil ways and return unto him. So if this is you, let it be known that if you repent, that the LORD will surely receive you.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promises, as some men count slackness; but is patient towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Repentance means that you have decided to turn from your sinful ways, and return back to the one who truly loves you:  THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. When you made up your mind to return unto the LORD your GOD, and to give yourself completely unto him, and to follow him all the remaining days of your life, you took the step of repentance that GOD requires of everyone that comes to him.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

As you abide in JESUS, and as JESUS abides in you, you will bear much fruit, and he will help you to live your life for him.  Know this, that without JESUS you can do nothing.  Understand that you cannot make a good repentance if you try to do it on your own: But instead you need to fully trust in the LORD JESUS and in his power and strength to deliver you from all your sinful ways, and to help you to return to him. Failure awaits all those who think that they can do this on their own.

Hebrews 13:5 ... for he (JESUS) hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

The LORD has been with you from the time that you first received him as your LORD and SAVIOR until this day, even though you may have sinned exceedingly and not been aware of his presence.  He has never left you nor forsaken you just as he promised. He knows about all your sins during this time for he was there.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The LORD's provision for the sins that you and I commit after we are saved is to confess our sins unto him.  As you confess your sins before the LORD, he will forgive you of your sins, and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. You cannot cleanse yourself from unrighteousness: Trust in JESUS who has promised to do this for you. Once you have confessed all of your sins before GOD, receive the forgiveness that he has for you, and forever leave them behind.

Philippians 3:13-14 ... but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Remember that if you do sin again, that the process of receiving forgiveness is the same, that is, confess your sin and turn away from it.  Do not say: How can I confess this sin again before the LORD beings how that I have committed this sin and confessed it to the LORD so many times? Keep on confessing your sins before the LORD, and ask him for his help.  He promises to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. And while you are waiting on him to deliver you, continue to confess your sins, (even if it is the same one), and believe on him and his forgiveness.

Micah 7:9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause, and executes judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

Some people turn to the LORD after they have committed a terrible crime. The LORD's Word says that all manner of sin will be forgiven unto men, and according to his word he will forgive these people: But they may still have to pay the penalty for their crimes. For instance if someone robs someone, the LORD will forgive them when they confess their sin unto him, but they may still have to spend years in prison, or the LORD may require them to repay the amount that they stole. We would have you know that if this applies to you, the LORD will forgive you if you repent and turn to him with all of your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a (good and) expected end.

By choosing to repent, you have chosen everlasting life.
